About Little French Wave
A Local French class for preschoolers and primary school aged children in a fun and friendly environment.
Learning French vocabulary by singing, socializing, playing, arts and craft is the main aim of the class. We are also thrilled to offer the children different aspects of a French education: working on their fine motor skills, introduction to reading and counting, social and cultural aspects.
Why learning another language?
The benefits of exposing children to a second language in their early formative years is unquestionable. Young brains effortlessly and naturally acquires languages! Research shows that early exposure to a second language facilitates growth and integration of the developing brain, leading to improved cognitive functioning, superior reading, writing, analytical and social skills.
Little French Wave is based on the latest research relevant to language development which isolates the first years of life as being the most critical for laying the foundations for later higher learning abilities that last a lifetime.
We aim to create a creative and stimulating and fun learning environment where children can learn or reinforce the French language.

Who are we?
Florie:
After 10 years of child minding & leading, 3 years of working as a primary school teacher in France I moved to Australia with the ambition of pursuing my career.
I worked for more than 3 years in a French immersion kindergarten in Melbourne. I’ve also been teaching at the Alliance Francaise of Geelong for 5 years as well as conducting private tutoring.
I am now teaching French in a primary school in Geelong ( St Johns in Newtown).
Realizing the benefits learning a language has on the brain as well as in your personal life, I became passionate about teaching French and sharing the French culture!
My energy and patience means I offer a well paced, complete class where your kids will receive the very best French teaching in the area!
Celine:
I am 33 years old from the North of France.
I have always been passionate about creating activities, fun games and creative workshops for kids that I shared with my daughter and the children around me.
Then I started two years ago a training course to become a teacher of the French language as a foreign language.
After doing some tutoring, it is time for me to combine my two passions: creative workshops and teaching French ...
It is in this sense that I join the Little French Wave adventure.
I am delighted to be able to introduce your children in a fun way to the French language and to accompany them in the development of their knowledge.
